New York, NY (PRWEB) July 06, 2011
ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier professional services, management software, and system and remote management service solutions firm, is pleased to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company its seventh in a series of allowed patents for systems management technology. US Patent No. 7,971,106 was issued on June 28, 2011 and is entitled “Method and Apparatus for Maintaining the Status of Objects in Computer Networks Using Virtual State Machines.” The patented method is utilized in ShoreGroup’s CaseSentry systems management solution and the company’s Sextant Contact Center Analytics solution that leverages the CaseSentry platform for operational awareness within major contact center networks.
The latest patent in ShoreGroup’s portfolio covers the continuous workflow technology employed by CaseSentry’s discovery, validation and decision modules which encompass crucial device management functions critical to an effective and comprehensive systems management solution. Together, these modules form the foundation to effectively monitor and manage enterprise-scale networked environments without agents or other performance impacting measures through use of unique virtual state machines containing the complete instruction logic to interrogate the network and identify changes in system status and validate events that are impacting critical business processes. In addition, finite state machines provide both the speed and flexibility to adapt to changing network conditions as CaseSentry validates the current state of monitored objects and documents the corrective actions that need to be taken to enable more effective decision-making and provide easy distribution of knowledge across the organization. The technology covered under this patent enables CaseSentry’s scalability, allowing the platform to manage some of the largest unified communications networks in the nation.
Dave Lovy, ShoreGroup’s Chief Engineer, Brant Fagan, Manager of Software Development and Robert Bojanek, Executive Vice President, co-developed this ShoreGroup patent. All are members of the team engaged since the initial CaseSentry Systems Management solution design and development.
Commenting on the patent, Brant Fagan said, “Our seventh U.S. patent for the advanced methodology employed by the CaseSentry Systems Management Solution is testimony to the power of the technology ShoreGroup has developed. ShoreGroup understands that maintaining optimal network and system performance is critical for organizations to remain competitive in today’s business landscape. CaseSentry is again recognized for its unique architectural design that removes the challenges organizations often face in identifying the root cause of network and system issues that arise in complex unified communication networks. CaseSentry also provides real-time visibility and control to our customers to better maintain and manage their IT, telecom and contact center infrastructure regardless of vendor architecture or protocols deployed.”
CaseSentry’s patented architecture provides a powerful foundation from which a variety of systems and application management capabilities are performed, including monitoring, diagnosing and documenting problems that impact systems and processes within a complex network environment. The capabilities reside on a single platform that contains the fully integrated service management and systems management capabilities that organizations need to effectively manage and support their vital unified voice, video and data applications, contact centers and complex end-to-end business process transactions. The CaseSentry Systems Management Solution is available as part of a comprehensive, cost effective management service solution that includes system management consultation, implementation, maintenance and change management.
