Author shares his life story and sheds light on the plight of the homeless women and children in earthquake-devastated Haiti.

For author Rene Chery, there are no coincidences in life. Every event that happens happens for a reason. Everything and every life have a purpose. In fact, Chery believes that he is one of those chosen by God to carry out a mission on earth. He shares his life story in a book that also sheds light on Women and Children’s Tribulation in Haiti.

When the author’s mother was still carrying him, a medical professional advised his mother to abort the fetus. Chery’s father also pressured her paying a wise woman to abort the baby through an alternative method. The woman gave the Chery’s mother a strong, sour liquid to drink. However, she left them with a warning, “If the fetus is not aborted in one hour, do not try to use any other method because this fetus is different. If you even try any other kind of method to abort the fetus, you will die before the abortion is successful.” With those words, the author’s fate was sealed and he was delivered after nine months.

This event early in his young life cemented Chery’s firm belief that he was born for a purpose – living a God-centered life and making a difference in other peoples’ lives. Another event that further strengthened his faith was when he left Haiti one and a half hours before the earthquake occurred on January 12, 2010. In this book, he reveals the tragic and sordid, squalid, miserable living conditions of all children in Haiti after it was devastated. Majority of the homeless are defenseless children and single women, several of whom are living in life-threatening cities across the world with little or no food, water, or clothes.

The author hopes that readers will become more aware of the Women and Children’s Tribulation in Haiti and do their part in making a difference. Chery pledged to help create proper resources and search in the future to improve the living conditions for as many of helpless children and women, while fighting poverty within multiple cities and communities around Haiti—Haitian government and association tugs. With the purchase of one of his books, people can certainly help improve the lives of many children around the world who are living without help.
