Tools4ever, the market leader in Identity and Access Management solutions, has introduced a new version of Self Service Reset Password Management (SSRPM). Most notable in this latest release is that SSRPM now enables SMS and e-mail authentication to improve security during the password reset process. When enabled, SSRPM will require the user to provide a mobile phone number or personal e-mail address during the enrollment process to which SSRPM will send either an SMS or an e-mail containing a PIN code, which the user will need to enter during the password reset.
Robert Doswell, managing director of Tools4ever, Ltd. had this to say about the latest SSRPM release; “The addition of SMS and e-mail authentication in SSRPM further exemplifies Tools4ever’s commitment to providing robust identity and access management solutions. This is particularly relevant today with the growing number of users who need to reset their passwords remotely. By now allowing a PIN code sent to a user’s mobile phone number or personal e-mail address, we are providing customers with the added feature for a fast, user-enabled password reset solution.”
SSRPM’s Authentication module addresses the perceived security issues where users working remotely or out of help desk support hours need to reset their network passwords. Passwords can now be reset via a web page with an added level of user identification.
Another feature update in this release includes new default challenge questions. New implementations will include these updated questions, and existing installations can get the new questions by adding the default SSRPM configuration to the database.
