Approximately 12 percent of Capella students are affiliated with the military and Capella offers them a wide range of services and support including tuition discounts, a flexible leave policy and course credits for military training and experience.
Randy Plunkett serves as Capella’s National Manager, Government Education and also happens to be a retired US Air Force SMSgt. When asked “why support USA Cares?” he responded: “Many people talk about supporting military families, but USA Cares puts talk into action. Capella University is proud to be a partner and supporter of the great work of USA Cares because we know their efforts make a difference in the military community every day! Getting an education changes a life forever, just as supporting military families in need has a life changing effect; no one does that better than the folks at USA Cares!”
