Helping Our Military and Their Families Just Got Easier

Donate My Card™ proudly announces its partnership with the USO to enable Americans to support our troops and their families in a unique way.

Millions of times each year at thousands of locations around the world, the USO lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families.

For 70 years, The USO has been providing a tangible way for all of us to say, “Thank you!” to those who serve our country. Now, through Donate My Card, Americans can give even more, easily and safely, without further impact to family budgets.

Donate My Card allows the remnant values on gift and pre-paid debit cards to be donated to its partner charities, like The USO. Americans purchase more than $130 billion in gift and pre-paid debit cards every year, and it is estimated that 5-10% of the purchased value remains on these cards. In fact, industry statistics point to more than $25 billion in remnant values, money that can now be used to the great benefit of non-profit organizations who are especially in need in this troubled economy.

With so many military men and women serving this country proudly, The USO is active with a range of programs and services touching the lives of our troops and their families with more than 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries. The USO provides hundreds of entertainment events each year to boost the morale of those who are serving America. This is done with the help of thousands of USO volunteers, and the generous support of private citizens. The USO makes sure your help goes to those who need it the most: troops serving in combat, their families, our wounded warriors and their families, and families of the fallen.

Lawrence Bracco, CEO and co-founder of Donate My Card, said, “The work done by The USO is so important, especially now. There really aren’t words to express the emotion one feels being in the presence of these soldiers and their families. We are proud to be working with The USO and hope that each and every American will reach into their wallets, search their desk drawers and will find those forgotten gift cards to give that little bit left to such a worthy cause.”

“The USO knows that one way to lift the spirits of our U.S. service members is to help them stay connected to their families back home. For many of them, there is nothing better than being able to hear the voice of their loved ones, who they are separated from for extended periods of time. That is why the USO is excited about this new and creative partnership with Donate My Card. It provides an easy way for America to help our troops stay connected to home,” said Kelli Seely, SVP of Development, USO.

Donate My Card, a privately held company and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, currently accepts any "open-loop" cards, those issued by VISA®, MasterCard®, Discover®, and American Express® at their website http://donatemycard.com.
