My value system comes from the game of golf. You can learn so much about life and living from golf, and how to be authentic and honest.

Golf is a mental game. So is life. What eludes most golfers also stays beyond the reach of many of us – which is where Gil Anderson comes in.

Anderson has been playing and teaching golf for most of his 64 years, and he’s learned that by overcoming self-doubt in golf, a player at any level can learn to apply the same way of thinking to life. Now, Anderson is sharing the techniques he’s taught to thousands in a new book, Going Fore It in Golf & Life.

“My value system comes from the game of golf. You can learn so much about life and living from golf, and how to be authentic and honest. I’ve been playing golf since I was 6 and teaching it for 40 years. This book is a reflection of the profound affect that my commitment to golf has had on my character and on the direction my life has taken,” Anderson says.

Beth Anderson, the author’s wife, says people have always been willing to listen to what Anderson has to say.

“People tell him that their participation in his beginner golf clinics is a life-changing experience not because they learned to play golf, but rather because they discovered how to cope with life as it flies by,” she says. “People find it easy to trust Gil, and they want the tranquility and joy that he exudes.”

Going Fore It in Golf & Life is on sale now online through Amazon, Borders and Barnes & Noble. You can order an autographed copy, sign up for Anderson’s e-newsletter and watch videos at http://www.goingforeit.com.
