Another Celebrity Chef for a Day Booked in Wisconsin. This Time it’s “Best in Smoke”

Due to the overwhelming response to its announcement of the Celebrity Chef Takeover of the Eagles Nest Restaurant in August featuring TV’s “Top Chefs” Fabio Viviani, Harold Dieterle and Richard Blais, Lake of the Torches Resort Casino is excited to announce that the takeover will continue with Food Network’s “Best in Smoke” finalist and barbeque king “Famous” Dave Anderson.

Famous Dave Anderson will be taking over the newly remodeled Eagle’s Nest Restaurant on Sat, Sept. 10, 2011 as the casino’s “executive chef” for the day.

Due to the overwhelming response to its announcement of the Celebrity Chef Takeover of the Eagles Nest Restaurant in August featuring TV’s “Top Chefs” Fabio Viviani, Harold Dieterle and Richard Blais, Lake of the Torches Resort Casino is excited to announce that the takeover will continue with Food Network’s “Best in Smoke” finalist and barbeque king “Famous” Dave Anderson. Famous Dave will be taking over the newly remodeled Eagle’s Nest Restaurant on Sat, Sept. 10, 2011. As the casino’s “executive chef” for the day, Famous Dave will have a specially prepared menu of home cooked Southern soul food and barbeque favorites that will be served as both the lunch and dinner buffets in the restaurant. He will be available during the service to meet his fans and diners in the restaurant.

“Famous Dave” Anderson was a recent fan favorite on the hit Food Network show “Best in Smoke.” Famous Dave’s competitive prowess and cooking mastery had the social media network abuzz with viewers who believed he should have rightfully been voted “Best in Smoke” champion. Dave was odds on favorite and was leading most of the last challenge until he got beat out by TOFU! Dave promises there will be no tofu recipes at Lake of The Torches...nothing but award winning real hickory smoked barbeque! As part of the show and in front of a national audience, Dave faced off against some of the best barbeque masters and chefs in the country as he won over the audience and judges with his amazing cooking skills and charisma.

In addition to his recent television appearance, barbeque lovers know Dave as the founder of the Famous Dave’s restaurant empire. Starting with a modest resort restaurant outside of Hayward Wisconsin, he grew it into a nation wide chain loved by millions across the country. But, Dave always has stuck close to his down home roots and diners will have the chance to taste it at the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant.

“No pun intended, but Famous Dave is red hot right now in the world of barbeque and we are thrilled to have him cooking at Lake of the Torches so soon after his very impressive display on Food Network’s show ‘Best in Smoke’,” said the casino’s Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick. “Famous Dave has deep roots here in northern Wisconsin and this will display his mastery of the art of soul food and barbeque for his fans at Lake of the Torches. This is an experience not to be missed!”
