Kennedy Catholic High School which will be transformed into a sales floor overflowing with bargains shoppers won't find at any mall or retail store on upscale, name brand kids/teen clothing, shoes, toys, baby equipment, nursery/juvenile furniture and more. This is no ordinary kid's consignment sale as the owner's of this event really have seized it as an opportunity to give back to local charities and support those in need within the community these events are held. Recycled Treasures LLC second charity Dollar Dash event will be held on August 8th from 10am-12pm. During this special portion of the sale, items not previously sold that weekend will be drastically reduced in price with proceeds being donated to Missouri Special Olympics. Any item left unsold at the conclusion of the charity sale will be donated to Society St. Vincent DePaul St. Louis. In a time of economic hardship, Recycled Treasures LLC realizes that charitable organizations donations have been negatively impacted and wanted to give back to as many charitable organizations as possible. The Dollar Dash allows them to make a monetary donation along with a tangible item donation to two great non-profit organizations. In addition, this portion of the sale will also allow families who are struggling to pay bills the ability to purchase items that would normally be out of their budget for just pennies on the dollar. Recycled Treasures LLC is the only consignment sale in the area to host such a sale event. The goal is to double the amount raised at the last Dollar Dash, which collected close to $600 in less than 2 hours.

The sale in August is the sixth in a series of successful events for Recycled Treasures LLC. The Back to School event will be held at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School located at 500 Woods Mill Road, Manchester, MO 63005. This group of mom's first began hosting these sale events in West St. Charles County in 2009 and after moving to West St. Louis County in 2010 tripled their consignor and shopper base at the last sale event.

Potential consignors should keep in mind that this is not a garage or rummage sale, so items need to meet high quality standards and be in gently used to new condition but there is potential to earn up to 75% of their selling price. Shoppers can expect to not only save big at the Dollar Dash sale but also through out the entire sale weekend. Most shoppers will save anywhere from 50%-90% off the original retail store price of the items they purchase. In fact, the Recycled Treasures LLC Back to School sale event is being held on Missouri Tax Free weekend offering even further savings as any item that qualifies under the Missouri Department of Revenue specifications will not be assessed sales tax. With prices this low it is no surprise that moms/dads travel from as far away as Hannibal, Missouri and Illinois to shop and consign. Sale savvy moms/dads line up early prior to sale doors opening, anxiously awaiting their time to shop and get those items they want or need before they sell.

The vendor portion of Recycled Treasures LLC consignment event is like no other in the area. Local small business owners offer unique/boutique items.
