Scholabo Ltd the provider of The Private Social Network for Schools and Mapac Ltd today jointly announced that they have formed an innovative partnership that will benefit hundreds of schools across the UK.
“We are really excited about the new partnership with Scholabo,” says Conrad Jaffe, director at Mapac, the leading supplier of book-bags and school clothing to thousands of schools around the UK and overseas. “As a company that prides itself on outstanding customer satisfaction, we are constantly looking for new ways in which we can innovate and add additional value to their experience with us. We believe that partnering with Scholabo provides us with a really unique offering that will help our schools transform the way they communicate and make significant cost savings in the process.”
On the face of it the two partners could not be more different. One is a company founded in 1955 specialising in school clothing whilst the other is 12 months old and at the leading edge of social media technology. So how and why did this partnership come about? Brent Thurrell, CEO of Scholabo explains; “On the face of it, this partnership is not an obvious marriage but there are many economic and environmental reasons why it makes good sense for our respective customers. We are delighted to be working alongside such an established brand, not only to get a better deal for our schools on clothing and bags, but to help spread the good word about the benefits of using secure social media to communicate with parents instead of ‘book-bag mail’ still in use in many educational establishments today.”
So is the book-bag manufacturer worried about the potential downturn in letters being sent home inside their product? “Not at all, in fact we welcome it,” says Emma Gilbert marketing manager at Mapac. “Book-bags should be for books and if we can help provide our customers with a proven method of moving away from the bag as a communication vehicle and save paper and the environment in the process, then you bet we are going to promote it!” Emma continues, “We feel that the Scholabo partnership is helping us to differentiate ourselves in what has become a very crowded marketplace. Not only do we provide the best quality products and service in our core area of business, but we can now also provide the added benefits of exclusive discounts for and even free usage of Scholabo for our customers.”
Both organisations will be actively promoting the new partnership and its associated benefits to existing and new customers over the coming months. For more information please contact either Paul Nelia at Scholabo Ltd or Emma Gilbert at Mapac Ltd.
