The Art of Acupuncture Charlotte has relocated to a new location to better serve its clientele. Located at 8000 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 212 in Charlotte, “the new, larger location has the ability to serve more patients and will include more health practitioners,” says clinical director Steven Siroky.

Siroky, a Licensed Acupuncturist and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, says the new center’s layout is perfect for future classes on meditation, qi gong, stress reduction, cooking with Chinese herbs, and much more--all in an effort fulfill the center’s mission and help people get healthier based on principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Many sufferers of chronic and acute conditions seek alternative medicines such as acupuncture for relief. Siroky notes a common misconception is that acupuncture is painful, involving the sticking of needles into the body. “We specialize in Japanese Meridian Therapy, which is a very, very gentle form of acupuncture that is not offered in most acupuncture clinics. This form of therapy is in fact so gentle, it can even be practiced on infants, who in turn, often find it quite soothing.”

The Art of Acupuncture Charlotte offers treatment in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, nutrition, and many other alternative medicine treatments. The clinic treats a wide array of illnesses and conditions including, but not limited to, depression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and infertility.

Siroky, a nationally certified acupuncturist who holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, was previously staff Acupuncturist at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast and NorthEast Internal and Integrative Medicine in Concord. During his tenure, he was the only acupuncturist to ever hold hospital privileges in the Carolinas Healthcare System.
