With contributions from the Robert P. Ashlock Memorial Fund established by Assurex Global, The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation recently awarded Davenport University (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and Kent State University-Salem (Salem, Ohio) grants in the amount of $7,500. The Robert P. Ashlock Adjunct Professorship Grants are awarded annually to support the development of risk management and insurance education at U.S. based colleges and universities, providing the funds for adjunct professor positions.
Educational institutions are evaluated based on: program vision; available university resources; projected professor search process; and need for financial assistance.
Assurex Global Partners Jim Kapnick of Kapnick Insurance Group (Michigan) and Dave Jacobs of Oswald Companies (Ohio) were on hand to present checks to Richard J. Pappas, Davenport University’s President, and Jeffrey L. Nolte, Kent State University Columbiana County Campus Dean, respectively.
