Sawgrass Mills, the largest outlet, value retail and entertainment destination in the United States with more than 350 stores, has announced plans for a 40,000 square foot addition to The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills as part of a significant retail expansion, which will add more than 20 new stores. The ongoing retail surge at Sawgrass Mills will include recognized brands such as Tory Burch, Under Armour Factory House, DKNY Company Store, Desigual, Original Penguin and Max Studio, plus expansions by Forever 21, Calvin Klein, American Eagle Outfitters and Aeropostale.

More great shopping is around the corner as The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills expands to meet the growing demand for luxury retailers at the already popular open-air promenade. This new phase of development, which will open in the fall of 2012 and is located just to the east of Villagio across from the existing retail structure, follows in the footsteps of the 2009 expansion, which added luxury retail outlets including Canali, Tag Heuer, Tommy Bahama’s Outlet, Tumi and True Religion Brand Jeans. Newer stores already enjoying incredible success like Prada, Giorgio Armani General Store and Zegna Outlet, will relocate to the new wing, expanding their presence on property and making way for further retail additions.
Later this summer, the first outlet location from Tory Burch in South Florida, will add to the impressive roster of luxury brands in The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills. Fashionistas will enjoy a vast selection of the brand’s iconic women’s apparel with bold prints and bright colors, plus handbags, shoes and jewelry.
The current retail expansion also includes the redevelopment of the Wannado City space, which will add 140,000 square feet of more shopping. Several popular stores will open as a part of this significant addition, including Under Armour Factory House, DKNY Company Store, Maxstudio.com Outlet and an outlet location from Original Penguin. In addition, Forever 21 will relocate to an expanded 60,000 square foot location, its largest store in the state of Florida, and Calvin Klein will unveil its largest outlet in the country. This retail development includes connectivity to The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills with a clear landscaped path for shoppers to follow.
Exciting plans are also in the mix for The Oasis at Sawgrass Mills, which will undergo renovations to enhance its retail mix and aesthetic appeal. Recent additions to this area include G by Guess, Skagen, Elizabeth Arden Makeup, Skincare and Fragrance Outlet and Coach Mens Factory. Plus, in the coming months, construction will begin on outlets from Talbot’s, Greg Norman and Old Navy, as well as a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant.
Betsey Johnson Outlet is also now open at Sawgrass Mills offering over-the-top, whimsical fashion. Plus, other in-mall plans call for an expansion of Aéropostale and American Eagle Outfitters, which will open its largest mall store in the U.S. Custo Barcelona will claim a permanent location for its only U.S. outlet and famed Spanish retailer, Desigual, a global brand offering men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories, will open during 2012.
Several enhanced customer amenities will also be implemented to enhance the shopping experience at Sawgrass Mills. Restrooms are being completely renovated and expanded with modern, touchless fixtures. New soft seating areas will be added to the interior and exterior of the property. Planned future initiatives to manage traffic will include enhanced directional signage on the ring road, new traffic signals at key points of entry, smart parking decks and a trolley service circling the property.
