Peter W. Burg said, "A lawyer like my brother Mike doesn't come along very often. He has always been a heavy-lifter for his family, our firm, the community, the plaintiff bar, and those needing a voice."

Burg Simpson is delighted to announce that founding shareholder, Michael S. Burg, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Heavy Lifting Award, in recognition of his outstanding work in protecting the American civil justice system.
Mr. Burg will receive his award at a special AAJ Leadership Breakfast on Sunday, July 10, in New York, and as part of the AAJ 65th Annual Conference. The five-day conference is an important fixture in the legal calendar, attracting thousands of the country’s preeminent trial attorneys, politicians and legal professionals.
Burg Simpson shareholder Peter W. Burg said, "A lawyer like my brother Mike doesn't come along very often. He has always been a heavy-lifter for his family, our firm, the community, the plaintiff bar, and those needing a voice. Truth be told, we live in extremely dangerous times -- times where large corporations, insurance companies, and others want to take away peoples’ rights to jury trials. America has the greatest judicial system and it is truly inspirational to see lawyers like Mike work so passionately to protect what we all hold so dear. Mike, congratulations on this great award and acknowledgment by AAJ.”
This honor is the latest in a long line of accolades to be awarded to Burg Simpson’s founding shareholder. Earlier this year, Law Week Colorado named Michael S. Burg a Lawyer of the Decade, in recognition of his incredible success as a personal injury lawyer and as a business and community leader in the Denver metro area.
With offices in Denver, Cincinnati, Cody, and Phoenix, Burg Simpson is a firm of award-winning trial lawyers, practicing in the areas of personal injury lawsuits, class actions, medical malpractice lawsuits, dangerous drug litigation, unsafe product claims, insurance bad faith, employment law, business litigation and securities litigation.
