Smart’s California Insurance Report Changing to The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin

One of California’s long-running insurance publications, Smart’s California Insurance Report, will soon be known as The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin.

“The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin will focus on the most pertinent news to California insurance executives: legislative, regulatory and marketing information for property and casualty and workers’ compensation professionals.”

Ted Huntington, president of Pale Blimp Marketing, recently took over the reins as publisher of the newsletter. As part of the agreement with former owner, Smart’s Publishing, Huntington will change the name of the newsletter.

“There will be little change to the content of the newsletter,” Huntington explained, “The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin will focus on the most pertinent news to California insurance executives: legislative, regulatory and marketing information for property and casualty and workers’ compensation professionals.”

The newsletter has been offered to Golden State insurance representatives for more than five decades. Originally published by Art Smart, the publication was purchased by James Whitaker in the mid 90s.

The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin is available in both electronic and print formats.

“This newsletter is a throw-back to the days when all business men and women read printed insurance publications,” Huntington added, “While we do offer an electronic PDF version, many of our subscribers prefer to receive an old-fashioned publication that is printed and mailed. The Internet is loaded with quick information, but we find many business execs look forward to receiving their newsletter in the mail and spending a few moments reviewing our unique articles.”

Huntington noted the name change will take place by the end of 2011. He encouraged anyone interested in subscribing to the electronic or printed version of The Scribe’s Insurance Bulletin to e-mail their request to: ted(at)paleblimpmarketing(dot)com.
