Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) July 11, 2011
As part of its upcoming one-year birthday celebration week, http://www.FitBottomedMamas.com, sister site to fitness website http://www.FitBottomedGirls.com, has named The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney as its Fit Bottomed Mama of the Year, an award created to honor an inspiring mom who has encouraged others to be their healthiest, best selves.
Sweeney is best-known for her role on Days of Our Lives and as host of The Biggest Loser, but recently added author to her resume with the publication of her book The Mommy Diet (http://fitbottomedmamas.com/2011/03/the-mommy-diet-a-handbook-for-all-moms-and-a-giveaway/). Her tips for healthy living, tailored to expecting and new moms, was part of the reason the Fit Bottomed Girls team decided on her for the honor.
“We always turn up our noses at the word ‘diet,’ but Alison’s book wasn’t a diet at at all--it’s a really positive, approachable guide to healthy living for moms and moms-to-be,” says Erin Whitehead, co-founder of Fit Bottomed Girls. "Alison’s sane approach meshed so well with the Fit Bottomed Girls’ and Mamas’ philosophy that choosing her for Mama of the Year was easy."
Fit Bottomed Mamas’ one-year birthday celebration begins on July 11. The week of special content will include giveaways for readers and the announcement of Fit Bottomed Mama of the Year on July 13. Included in the announcement will be tips from Sweeney for moms.
Fit Bottomed Girls named golfer Stacy Lewis as its Fit Bottomed Girl of the Year for 2011. The Style Network’s Ruby Gettinger and Olympic swimmer Dara Torres took the honor in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
