It's important for consumers to have expert guidance to get the best value
Yonkers, NY (PRWEB) July 11, 2011
Leading automotive authority Edmunds.com has just published its "2011 Used Car Best Bets" list this week. Big winners include the BMW 3-Series, the Infiniti G35, and the Nissan Altima, vehicles used to achieving top marks by reviewers.
The annual list declares one winner in fifteen separate categories, including sedan, coupe, SUV/crossover, luxury, and hybrid. The 2004 – 2009 Nissan Altima, 2004 – 2009 BMW 3-Series, and 2004 – 2009 Infiniti G35 won the Best Used Midsize Sedan, Best Used Coupe, and Best Used Luxury titles, respectively. Other winners include popular models from Toyota, Honda and Ford.
"It's important for consumers to have expert guidance to get the best value," says Scott Oldham, editor-in-chief of Edmunds.com. "By taking into consideration a range of factors, these cars are the most attractive options in the used car market."
Edmunds regularly publishes best lists, up-to-date reviews, and car buying guides for consumers. The formula for its annual Used Car Best Bets list is based on a mixture of consumer ratings – especially reliability and longevity scores – expert opinion, crash test ratings, and Edmunds.com's True Cost-to-Own measurement.
Josh Aaronson, general manager of Yonkers Auto Mall in Yonkers, N.Y., says he takes rankings from Edmunds and other experts into account when obtaining inventory. One of the largest dealerships in the tri-state area, Yonkers Auto Mall sells used vehicles exclusively.
"We have most of the models on this list on our lot in abundance – especially Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, Honda, and Toyota – because we don't want to throw just anything out there. We want to offer the best used inventory available," says Josh Aaronson.
Aaronson believes that the tools Edmunds provides makes for better informed customers walking in the door, which helps drive business.
The 2011 Used Car Best Bets list is available on the Edmunds website along with extensive reviews and information on all of the winners.
