Experienced professionals interested in an ethics-based MBA program with a global perspective are encouraged to apply to George Fox University’s Part-Time MBA program in Boise by the application deadline of Aug. 1. Applications after this date may be accepted on a space-available basis.
The 26-month, 42-credit-hour program, offered at the university’s Boise Center in Meridian, begins new cohorts in late August. Classes meet one evening per week from 6 to 10 p.m., plus one Saturday per month. The curriculum includes an optional weeklong international study trip and a community consulting project.
More information and enrollment details are available at mba.georgefox.edu or by attending an information meeting scheduled at noon Wednesday, July 13, at the university’s Boise Center, located at 1810 S. Eagle Road in Meridian.
The program is designed for working professionals seeking to become more effective managers and leaders. In addition to the basics of business, the George Fox Part-Time MBA emphasizes leadership, interpersonal communication, ethics and social responsibility. Class discussions and readings are balanced with projects and case studies to demonstrate how theory is applied in the real world.
The curriculum also allows for the opportunity to study aboard. In May, a group of 15 students, two faculty members and six guests traveled to Beijing, China, to represent the university’s School of Business as part of an international residency class that annually gives participants the opportunity to get a business education outside the classroom.
Since the program’s inception in 2004, nearly 200 George Fox business graduate students have made the weeklong trips to locales including Brazil (2004-06), Shanghai, China (2007-09) and Beijing and Tianjin, China (2010-11).
