"The 2011 Medicare Compliance Forum will deliver practical and innovative approaches to addressing important Medicare compliance concerns," says Lori Levans, Managing Director of HCPro's Revenue Cycle Institute.
Danvers, MA (PRWEB) July 13, 2011
To ensure hospitals are up to date on important Medicare regulatory issues in light of increased government and commercial audit activity, HCPro and The Revenue Cycle Institute will launch the third annual Medicare Compliance Forum at the Hyatt Regency Chicago September 19 and 20. Among the attendees will be VPs and managers responsible for revenue cycle and reimbursement matters in provider organizations, as well as compliance officers and auditors, case managers, clinical documentation improvement and HIM professionals.
"The 2011 Medicare Compliance Forum will deliver practical and innovative approaches to addressing important Medicare compliance concerns," says Lori Levans, Managing Director of HCPro's Revenue Cycle Institute. "The Forum, now in its third year, is recognized as a key industry gathering to learn how to reduce risk and exposure from government auditors, including RACs, and protect revenue by learning the rules for navigating Medicare’s maze."
The diverse faculty panel of industry experts includes consultants, educators, attorneys, and providers. They will present 24 sessions under three tracks: Government Audit Strategies, Medical Necessity Compliance, and Hot Topics in Medicare Reimbursement. Participants can select which sessions to attend, and will receive a program workbook with all session materials.
Levans says the 2011 Forum will span the broad scope of government auditor activity and include deep coverage of topics critical to revenue cycle management for healthcare organizations, including the three-day payment window, clinical documentation improvement and the ever-present challenge of patient status.
The event also includes two pre-conference sessions on September 18, "Outpatient, Observation or Inpatient? Walking the Tightrope of Regulatory Guidance", by industry expert Deborah Hale, CCS, CCDS, of ACS LLC and "OPPS and IPPS Reimbursement Fundamentals" presented by HCPro’s Director of Medicare and Compliance Kimberly Anderwood Hoy, JD, CPC.
