Bongo International is expanding the abilities of European eCommerce stores with the addition of Bongo EU. Bongo EU is a package forwarding solution that will function like its successful US Address predecessor. American and Foreign shoppers will be able to sign up for an EU address to shop at stores that would not ship directly to their location outside of the continent.

Once registered with Bongo, customers will have access to an array of products only offered within Europe. The market is incredible and merchants will garner the rewards that US-based companies have for the past few years by expanding their businesses to include overseas shipping. According to the research and analysis that the publication Internet Retailer has conducted over the past year about European eCommerce, “23% is the percentage that annual b2c eCommerce sales grew in 2010 for the UK, the largest European online market.” There is no doubt that the demand for designers and products that come from the UK are steadily increasing and will continue in an upward trend in 2011.

Bongo International will be providing customers with an address at their new Brussels facility in Belgium. Current customers have already been upgraded with a complimentary EU address added to their account. Value added services will include: express shipping, consolidation and repackaging, imaging, multiple delivery destinations, personal shopper services and more. Transit times from Europe to the states are efficient; from UK to New York is 1 day, to New Jersey and Connecticut is 2 days, and west-coast locations about 3 days.

"Bongo's technology now connects internet shoppers around the world with online merchants and auction sites, whether they are US or European-based stores," explains Jennean Morrison, Product Manager for Bongo Extend. Carsten Vennemann, General Manager for EU is also optimistic about the addition. “We are excited to assist European retailers with a proven process that safely converts international website traffic, increasing revenue,” adds Vennemann. The Bongo Customer Support staff is expanding to accommodate the Brussels location. Anyone interested in joining the Bongo team in the EU is encouraged to read more About Us on our website.
