“At Lenovo, we’re all about Do-Driven individuals. TechTrip is the ideal opportunity for ambitious college students to step inside the working world, solve real challenges, and make their mark in the digital arena.”

With summer jobs and internships difficult, if not impossible, to find in this challenging economy, corporate giants Lenovo and Intel are offering college students a rare opportunity to get a foot in the door at today’s hottest tech companies.
Lenovo and Intel have launched the first-ever TechTrip Contest, along with partners Dolby Laboratories and Namco Bandai Games. College students are competing to spend two full days at each of these four cutting-edge companies, meet key personnel and work as a team solving challenging assignments. It’s a true sneak peek inside today’s biggest tech companies — the access, experience and contacts are invaluable.
“At Lenovo, we’re all about Do-Driven individuals. TechTrip is the ideal opportunity for ambitious college students to step inside the working world, solve real challenges, and make their mark in the digital arena,” says Donna Bedford, Global SEO Lead at Lenovo.
College students are used to tight deadlines and this is no different. All entries for the TechTrip Contest must be submitted by this Friday, July 15, 2011. To enter the competition, college undergraduates should visit the Lenovo for Students Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/LenovoStudentUS and submit a short pitch describing why they are uniquely qualified for this ultimate tech adventure. Family, friends and classmates will have the opportunity to vote via Facebook for their favorite top-twenty candidates from July 16–24. A panel of judges will then choose the final three winners from the top twenty vote getters on or around July 27.
The three victorious students will depart on July 31 for a two-week, cross-country, all-expense paid tech trip to corporate giants Lenovo (Raleigh, North Carolina) Intel (Santa Clara, CA), Dolby (San Francisco, CA) and Namco Bandai Games (Santa Clara, CA). As reward for their hard work and tech savvy ideas, each student will receive a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 laptop, an Onkyo home theater system courtesy of Dolby and a selection of the coolest video games from Namco Bandai Games. There’s even some downtime for the students to explore and enjoy the cities they’ll be visiting.
