Oceanview Publishing announces the upcoming release of Fly by Night by Ward Larsen. Fly by Night (ISBN: 978-1-60809-029-7, Hardcover, 312 pages, $25.95, Category: Thriller, Midpoint Trade Books, distributor) will be available nationwide on November 1, 2011. Fly by Night will also be simultaneously released in an eBook version (ISBN: 978-1-60809-030-3, $14.95).

Ward Larsen, a multiple award-winning novelist, has kept readers on the edges of their seats since his 2006 smash debut, The Perfect Assassin, which was recently optioned for a major motion picture. A ripped-from-the-headlines tale of intrigue, Larsen’s latest novel, Fly by Night, is a brilliant and breathtaking new thriller about a conspiracy so devastating that it will shake the world.

A top secret drone crashes in the lawless Horn of Africa. The CIA is prepared to write off the loss until evidence surfaces that the wreckage of their prized aircraft is hidden in a hangar outside Khartoum’s main airport. The hangar is owned by a shady cargo airline that flies ancient DC-3s across Africa and the Middle East. The name of the company does nothing to still concern: FBN—Fly By Night Aviation.

The U.S. government must find out what is in the hangar, and when an FBN airplane crashes, the opportunity arises to send an investigator to get to the bottom of things. Jammer Davis is the National Transportation Safety Board’s biggest headache, but also its best solo operator. He goes to Sudan in the name of solving an air crash, but with the true aim of locating the priceless remains of America’s latest technological marvel.

As Davis enters this inhospitable world, he finds the two disparate mysteries strangely intertwined. True to his nature, Davis barges ahead. Yet everything he finds takes him in reverse, disproving what little he has been given as fact. From Khartoum, to the Sudanese desert, to the Red Sea, Davis is unstoppable. He soon discovers that more is at stake, an incredible conspiracy that will tear the region apart. And one that will threaten America like nothing before.

As an Air Force fighter pilot, award-winning novelist Ward Larsen flew over twenty combat missions in Operation Desert Storm and was an aircraft accident investigator. Presently, he is a captain for a major airline and resides in Florida. He is also the author of The Perfect Assassin, Stealing Trinity, and Fly by Wire and a contributing essayist to the Edgar® Award-nominated Thrillers: 100 Must-Reads. The Perfect Assassin was awarded the Florida Book Award Silver Medal, and was also awarded the Military Writers Society’s Gold Medal. Visit Ward Larsen on the web at: http://www.wardlarsen.com.
