Lauri Hines (CCIM, CPM), founder of Promus Commercial Property Management, AMO, has been recognized by the YWCA of San Diego County as one of the honorees of the Tribute to Women & Industry(TWIN) recognition award for 2011.

A licensed California Real Estate Broker, Ms. Hines is a former recipient of the “Certified Property Manager of the Year” award and the “Exceptional Contribution Award” from the Institute of Real Estate Management. She has also received the Channel 10 News Leadership Award.

Ms. Hines has been involved in the management and leasing of income-producing commercial properties since 1984 and was dubbed by The Wall Street Transcript as one of “the nation’s foremost real estate authorities.”

Her company is one of the few American commercial real estate management firms whose president holds the dual designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member and Certified Property Manager, and is one of only 527 firms worldwide to hold the Accredited Management Organization designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

In her spare time, Hines works tirelessly and passionately on behalf of REstart helping students – typically disadvantaged women – receive training, mentoring, and job placement assistance in the field of property management. The organization offers participants practical, hands-on experience, giving them the tools and skills necessary to be productive, employable members of society.

Last month Ms. Hines helped effect a merger with Sperry Van Ness’ San Diego organization to create Sperry Van Ness/Promus Commercial.

Hosted by the YWCA of San Diego County, the 32nd annual TWIN Award recognized 33 outstanding women professionals and the companies who support them. The program also raised much-needed funds for the YWCA’s programs and services that support women, children, and families who are working to break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness.

The Tribute to Women & Industry luncheon was held June 21st at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina.
