TDCI Inc. (TDCI), the leading provider of configurator-based software, announced today that the company posted a record first half in 2011, with revenues from the company’s BuyDesign Product Configurator and Guided Selling software more than doubled over the same period in 2010.
“We are very pleased with the increased levels of sales activity we’re seeing from both our Microsoft and Infor relationships, as well as through our direct sales channel,” said Dan DeMuth, TDCI President. “In addition to continuing to build our channel relationships, we have delivered several new ERP and CRM system integrations with Microsoft and Infor products. This has further expanded the range of companies that can take advantage of BuyDesign in conjunction with their key enterprise systems.”
In terms of January – June 2011 BuyDesign sales activity, TDCI added 42% more new customers compared to the same period in 2010. Customers were added in North America, Europe and Australia. New customers spanned multiple industries, from industrial equipment & machinery, high tech, and aerospace; to custom print products, windows & doors, and other building products. BuyDesign was licensed for use with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Infor ERP SyteLine, Infor ERP XA, Infor ERP LN, and several other ERP systems.
In the same period, over a dozen new companies went live with BuyDesign deployments, including manufacturers selling products such as transit busses, safety equipment, residential and commercial doors, sophisticated machine tools, luggage cart systems, audio-visual equipment, and a variety of industrial products.
In terms of new product delivery, TDCI released integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 on-premise and cloud to expand into the CRM market as well as ERP. In addition, BuyDesign integration with Infor ERP products was expanded to include. Infor ERP XA and Infor ERP LN. BuyDesign 7.5 was released on June 30th, adding many new features and enhancements focused on enabling BuyDesign users to improve sales effectiveness, speed configuration model design, deploy in the cloud, and expand the use of CAD technology.
TDCI had several other notable events in the first half of 2011. In March, TDCI announced that the Security Technologies Sector of Ingersoll Rand selected BuyDesign for use with their company’s Oracle ERP and CRM systems. In June, TDCI’s BuyDesign was included in a Gartner 2011 Marketscope report covering leading providers of Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) application tools. As an indication of BuyDesign’s growing position in the market, Gartner gave BuyDesign a “promising” rating, highlighting strengths in functional breadth, guided selling focus, product usability, and strong visualization. Also in June, TDCI was named as one of three Microsoft Dynamics Manufacturing Partner of the Year Finalists from a pool of 3000 partners considered worldwide based on the positive impact of BuyDesign on Microsoft Dynamics ERP sales.
