Water levels on the Salmon River are very fun and playful right now
Sun Valley, ID (PRWEB) July 14, 2011
The Sun Valley rafting season is on! After a wet and cold spring the sun is out. Temps outside have finally climbed above 80 degrees and it is time to enjoy spring’s bounteous moisture. Sun Valley rafting has not been this good since the 1980’s.
The closest whitewater rafting to Sun Valley is the Salmon River, roughly 55 miles away, just over Galena Pass in the quaint mountain town of Stanley, ID. “Water levels on the Salmon River are very fun and playful right now,” says David Denning, owner of The River Company in Stanley. “We usually see this kind of water only in June, and it is great to see it continuing into July and most likely into August.”
Rafting is something the whole family can enjoy together. No previous rafting experience is necessary and trips on the Salmon River are appropriate for ages four and up.
Advance reservations are recommended as trips fill quickly during peak season in July and August. To ensure your spot on the river call The River Company at 1-800-398-0346 or book online at http://www.therivercompany.com. Trips depart daily at 10:30 and 1:30.
