Sharing Good News Through Poems

Share Article

New book offers encouragement and hope through some “Good News”.

Bankruptcy, joblessness, foreclosures, protests, murder, floods, scandals, famine, war, tsunamis, hostages, suicide, shootings, drug abuse. These are just a few of the headlines that people see in the newspaper on any given day. Author-poet Claude Carson, Jr. offers comfort and hope as he shares Good News Through Poems.

In this world where people are faced with so many challenges and difficulties, discouragement and disappointments, Carson assures all that there is a brighter side. When it feels like life has nothing but bad news to offer, they should not lose heart for there is hope and happiness, strength and positivity. In Good News Through Poems, the author gives encouragement and solutions. He prayerfully took the most positive thing he knows, the word of God, and said what was on his mind, hoping to encourage, comfort, enlighten, or just put a smile on peoples’ faces.

There is a cure to all the stress. There is a way to have peace of mind. There is an old saying, “garbage in garbage out”. When one keeps getting negative things in oneself, eventually negative things will come out of him or her. Through Good News Through Poems, the author hopes to encourage positivity as he urges readers to forget about all the negativity the world has to offer and read some Good News for a change. About the Author
On February 17, 1965, at Fort Hood, Texas, Claude and Glenda Carson became the proud parents of their third child. Raised in the small town of Killeen, Claude Carson, Jr. grew up probably like an average child would, nothing real spectacular, just a plain and simple Christian upbringing. And so, in January of 1985, as a plain and simple young man, he asked God to tell him His will for his life. He asked God to make sure He told him plain and simple to ensure there would be no misunderstanding. God led him to Jeremiah 1:4-10 and Acts 1:8. Now, as Carson strives to live his life in accordance to God’s will, his way of life is still the same, plain and simple. He is not a scholar with six or seven degrees or a literary genius, but he uses the wisdom and gifts God has given him along with some life experiences to spread God’s messages the best way he knows how, plain and simple. He prays these poems encourage and bless people in their life’s journey.
