It was only natural that we would partner up and create a campaign that gives children the opportunity to continue to build as individuals and leaders in their communities while enjoying what they love to do most, playing basketball and stepping!
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 15, 2011
On Tuesday, July 15, 2011, Art of Stepping™ founder, Jessica “Remo” Saul, announced the launch of the Sneakers 2 Succeed campaign in partnership with the Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation.
The Sneakers 2 Succeed campaign, or (S²), is a yearlong campaign that will collect gently used sneakers for children in need. AOS and CDSTF will secure several drop-off locations and events across the nation to collect the sneakers. At the end of every month, the sneakers will be donated to select national and local charities and organizations that work with children and families in need.
“The Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation hosts an annual basketball clinic every year which focuses on teaching children the fundamentals of basketball,” said Saul, “Art of Stepping is an organization whose mission is to fight childhood obesity and teach mathematics via the art of stepping. Both organizations teach children a ‘sport’ that require sneakers. It was only natural that we would partner up and create a campaign that gives children the opportunity to continue to build as individuals and leaders in their communities while enjoying what they love to do most, playing basketball and stepping!”
The (S²) campaign will launch on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Art of Stepping™ annual step competition held at York College in Queens, New York, the campaign’s first drop-off location.
