Online ads seek to increase brand awareness for expanding MailChimp audience

MailChimp today announced the launch of a multi-million dollar branding campaign intended to increase awareness of the MailChimp email marketing service among potential subscribers. The campaign is targeted at MailChimp’s traditional subscriber, the power user who loves innovation.

“Our growth over the last few years has benefited greatly from personal recommendations,” commented Ben Chestnut, CEO and co-Founder. “Now that we are approaching the 1 million subscriber count, we felt it was appropriate to broaden our reach with a branding campaign. As usual this campaign is done MailChimp style.”

The campaign features the MailChimp logo on a simple red background and the creative is being displayed on all of the top tech blogs around the world such as TechCrunch, Mashable, Read Write Web, All Things D, GigaOm, VentureBeat, and The NextWeb.

MailChimp has focused on creating the best email marketing application in the industry with ground breaking technology innovations such as automated A/B testing (patent pending), Google Analytics API integration, and Time Warp (automatically send a campaign in a recipient’s local time zone). MailChimp was the first major email service provider to introduce Auto Tweeting (2009) and to integrate the Facebook Like feature into emails (2010).
