The Company that makes safety their business, Safetysign.com, has unveiled a new website design, introducing new categories with a more realistic look and feel.

The upgrade comes as the site continues to build national awareness on safety that includes trying to help cities and states prepare for the upcoming MUTCD deadlines.

Within the next couple of years the Federal Government requires all states to update or replace 33 different Road and Traffic Safety Signs in the interest of public safety. The next deadline is January 9th, 2012, which requires Street Name Signs to have letters that are 6 inches in height for all ground mounted street name signs that are not on multi-lane streets. The exception to this is when the speed limit is less than 25 miles per hour, in which case a 4 inch letter height is acceptable.

“There is a great deal of pressure on state and municipal officials to meet their deadlines on the MUTCD mandate,” says Michael Schoenfeld, COO of Brimar Industries, the parent company of Safetysign.com. “Our mission is to help educate and guide officials with our MUTCD compliant experts and easy to use web platform to streamline the process”.
The in-house web development team at Brimar also had the customers in mind when revamping the site. They took an already easy to use site and simplified it further by providing real images of signs, including resourceful safety facts, and re-organizing the categories to help the customers find what they are looking for.

The new web design was created to work seamlessly with the customers shopping experience and customization capabilities. With a custom sign tool for each sign category, it provides customers with the ability to customize their sign with messaging in real time.
