“The search is within the great modern religions. These religions include: Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Each, sparked with its own unique revelation, tells us a different story. What are they saying to us?” author R. William Davies inquires in his newly released book. Published through Xlibris, The Universal God: The Search for God in the Twenty-First Century presents an eye-opening account of the quest to finding God.
The underlying premise of this book is that the revelations that sparked each of these religions are true and that these truths are equally applicable to all humanity. Written in two parts, it studies the search for God within each of the great modern religions. The first part discusses these religions in an independent manner, using a comparative religions’ format. The second part contains the commentaries. These are written to systematically review the sacred and founding truths of each of the religions discussed within the first part of the book. From these truths, patterns and themes are developed that appear universal to each of the religions.
Backed with in-depth studies, comprehensive discussions and thought-provoking personal insights, The Universal God: The Search for God in the Twenty-First Century is not to provide the reader with a complete and absolute theology about God. It has been written to take that which people do know and shape it into harmonious patterns.
