Rentalic to Host Rentacular Spectacular, a Day of Food, Games, and Social Swapping.

At Marx Meadow, Golden Gate Park this Saturday, July 16th from 12pm-4pm, online renting marketplace, Rentalic, will be hosting “The Rentacular Spectacular”, a social event that will include a potluck picnic, sports games, a unisex clothing and toy swap, and fashion show.

“We want to thank Rentalic members who supported us through the beta phase of the site and helped us further our vision of building economically and environmentally sustainable communities. We’re excited to meet members in person and take the Rent . Share . Be Green movement to the next level”, says Founder and CEO Punsri Abeywickrema.

Rentalic, started in March 2010, is a peer-to-peer rental website that allows members to share or rent nearly anything, from impersonator services to lawn mowers, to other members of their local community. Rentalic is hosting the Rentacular Spectacular to celebrate their website's growth and move out of beta status.

During the four-hour fete, attendees will have no shortage of entertainment and activities. Those looking to participate in the clothing and toy swap are asked to bring a minimum of five items and are welcome to strut their newly swapped styles in a fashion show. Guests are invited to bring dishes to share as part of the event’s potluck picnic. For the more athletic, a bocce ball tournament, soccer clinic and other lawn games provide competitive fun and opportunities to win prizes from Laundry Locker (eco-friendly laundry and dry cleaning), The San Francisco Cookie Company, Getaround (free car rentals), and Green Choice Moto (free electric bike rentals). Green Choice Moto will be providing test drives of their electric bikes at the event. Grubly will be providing ice cream via a liquid nitrogen demonstration.
