Even from the back of the cab! It’s a convenience we’ve never had with taxis, unlike other goods and service providers, like retail outlets and restaurants.”
Travelers can commend (Praise an Angel), or condemn (R.A.T. Report), their cabbie, in just five quick steps:
1. Enter the driver’s medallion number, or take a photo of the number
2. Choose from a selection of known issues (e.g. Using cell phone, refused credit card) or enter their own
3. Select the date and time of the incident
4. Choose from a map, or enter an address, where the incident occurred
5. Review and SUBMIT!
After SUBMIT, passengers can share their experience via Facebook and Twitter to provide others with information that will help make their time in the city a safer, cheaper and overall better experience.
The information will be sent to the Report A Taxi team who will review it for submission to the Taxi & Limousine Commission so appropriate action can be taken. Initially launching in New York City, there are plans to expand the app into other cities as well.
