Blue Ocean Biomedical introduces the LG Series Flow Cytometry Systems, the first fully automated, load & go systems for counting CD4 cells and other lymphocyte subsets. These subsets (percent and absolute counts of T cells, B cells, and NK cells) are used in immune status monitoring for HIV-positive patients and in other medical conditions. This system is being launched at the International AIDS Society (IAS) conference which is being held in Rome, Italy, July 17-20.
“Current flow cytometry systems require highly skilled operators and the workflow is slow, labor-intensive, and complicated,” said Ernie Thomas, president of Blue Ocean. “With the LG Systems, the operator merely loads up to 40 blood tubes and the system does all the rest automatically.
