“We expect this fundraiser to be a great success for Women In Distress and we’re excited to partner with them. Their cause is a noble one, and we’re glad to be able to help out.” – Rick Scherer, co-founder of PulseAuction.com

PulseAuction.com, a premier online auction house partners with Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. (WID) to host a unique fundraising auction event, “Bid for WID 2011.” Beginning July 8th and ending at midnight on July 15th, the event will include 50+ auction items with 80% of the net proceeds going directly to Women In Distress to help families affected by domestic violence.

The “Bid for WID 2011” auction event is open to the public, and accessible at http://www.PulseAuction.com/fundraiser.html beginning July 8th, 2011 and ending at midnight on July 15th. To bid on an item, participants will need to “unlock” an auction through the use of an “Auction Unlock Key” ranging between $1 and $5, depending on the item up for bidding. Auction keys can be purchased at http://www.pulseauction.com/buy_auction_keys.html . All keys purchased and used in conjunction with the “Bid for WID” event will be part of the proceeds.

“In addition to raising funds for Women In Distress, we expect the auctions to be a lot of fun for the members. Many of WID’s members haven’t tried this type of auction before – it can get very exciting!” – Cindy, co-founder of PulseAuction.com

PulseAuction.com is unique because of their strict no “per-bid-fee” policy. Once an auction is unlocked, participants can bid on the item as many times as they’d like without any additional fees. This patent pending system is in direct contrast to the wildly popular and heavily criticized penny auction model of charging for each bid placed. According to Scherer, “It’s more transparent, and fair to our customers. You know what you’re getting into and the hidden fees don’t pile up.”

To help promote the Women In Distress auction, PulseAuction.com is offering new users one FREE $1 Auction Unlock Key to try out the auctions and become familiar with the bidding process before the “Bid for WID” event. New users can visit http://www.PulseAuction.com/register.html to receive their free $1 Auction Unlock Key.
