KnowledgeVision Systems today announced the appointment of five new executives, rounding out the company’s senior leadership team as it expands the development of its groundbreaking online video presentation tools. Tom Trometer joins the company as chief financial officer with more than 25 years of experience leading innovative technology companies. Additionally, KnowledgeVision co-founder Alex Kieft has been named vice president of software development; while Matt Kaplan has joined as vice president of product management; Susan Murray joins as director of client success programs; and Heather Stokes is added as manager of marketing programs. Collectively, KnowledgeVision’s expanded team has a proven track record of successful leadership across multiple industries – including computer programming, communications, marketing, publishing, consulting and media production.

KnowledgeVision’s flagship application, KVStudio, provides companies with enterprise-grade tools for synchronizing video, audio, PowerPoint, handouts, links and graphics into interactive online video presentations. The new executive additions will contribute to the company’s ongoing commitment to deliver a variety of cost-effective, scalable products that enable users to create and share online presentations and web content.

KnowledgeVision’s expanded leadership team includes:
Tom Trometer, chief financial officer – Tom is responsible for the overall financial management of KnowledgeVision’s operations. His extensive experience with small, innovative, pioneering companies – such as Constant Contact and HubCast – makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the CFO for KnowledgeVision. Tom is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Alex Kieft, vice president of software development – Prior to overseeing the software development of KnowledgeVision’s flagship product, KVStudio, Alex worked as a chief media architect at DigiNovations. He started his career as a film and computer instructor at Concord Academy, and has lead the launch of several online platforms – including Vidista, a web interface for storing, organizing and sharing YouTube videos; and the Engio Media Network, a search engine for independent online films. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College.

Matt Kaplan, vice president of product management – Matt was previously a founding member, chief strategy officer and the vice president of client and creative services at PermissionTV, an online video platform company that pioneered the use of video with interactivity. He also co-founded AdValue Media Technologies, the first online exchange for television and radio advertising buyers and sellers. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Susan Murray, director of client success programs – Prior to joining KnowledgeVision, Sue was the director of consulting services at Qvidian (formerly Kadient Inc.), a firm that specializes in cloud computing sales effectiveness applications. While there, Sue led the company’s sales enablement, professional services and client support initiatives. She also held leadership rolls at Unica and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Sue holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree in marketing and sales from Rivier College.

Heather Stokes, marketing programs manager – Prior to joining KnowledgeVision, Heather was the field marketing manager at Qvidian (formerly Kadient Inc.), where she focused on marketing and sales alignment. She created marketing programs for the field sales team and managed a business development team. Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Vermont College.
