Carlbrook School Hosts 5K Run for the Cure

The Student Government of Carlbrook School will be leading the charge in the fight against cancer by joining forces with the American Cancer Society this Saturday, July 23, 2011. Students will be hosting their first "Carlbrook for the Cure" 5K race on the campus of Carlbrook School. All faculty and members of the student body are invited to participate together in supporting this important cause. As part of this event, the Student Government is seeking monetary donations from their parent and professional community. With the funds raised, the American Cancer Society will continue to make progress in the fight against cancer.

This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words "You have cancer," and there is a good chance that many of them will be people you know and love. The Student Government at Carlbrook School has chosen to fight back against this disease and help make a difference by supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer and diminish suffering through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Nearly everyone has been touched by cancer in some way and the students at Carlbrook School have decided to make a difference by forming a team to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving work. Students and faculty of the Carlbrook School community will join together on Saturday, July 23, 2011 to participate in "Carlbrook's Race for the Cure."
