The four-part webinar series, which is designed to assist those professionals who plan to take the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Existing Buildings Operation and Maintenance (EB: O+M) exam, will begin on July 26, not July 19 as originally planned. Also, a second instructor has been added to the program.

WPL Publishing has changed the session dates for its upcoming four-part “LEED AP Exam Prep: Existing Buildings Operation and Maintenance (O+M)” webinar training series.

The new session dates are as follows: July 26, Session 1, Introduction/Sustainable Sites; July 28, Session 2, Water Efficiency/Materials & Resources; Aug. 2, Session 3, Energy and Atmosphere; and Aug. 4, Session 4, Indoor Environmental Quality/Innovation in Operations and Regional Priority. Each session will begin at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) and last for two hours. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/6g9qvzv.

In addition, a new instructor has been added to the training program. Ted Spear, a senior consultant with Green Building Services Inc. (GBS), will join GBS Principal Elaine Aye in addressing webinar attendees. Mr. Spear has effectively managed all aspects of facility, energy, landscaping, and housekeeping operations for buildings. He has experience implementing computerized maintenance management systems, energy, construction, inventory, and personnel management systems. He also has served in project and construction management for new construction, major remodels, and facility relocations.

The webinar series, which is designed to assist those professionals who plan to take the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Existing Buildings Operation and Maintenance exam, will cover credit intents, requirements, reference standards, and other areas. The series has been approved for eight American Institute of Architects Health, Safety, and Welfare/Sustainable Design learning units.

The exam tests a candidate’s knowledge and skill in understanding green building practices, all LEED rating systems, and the ability to facilitate the project-certification process. Not only will course instructors help prepare attendees for the test with exam tips and recommendations, they also will help them put the information to use for their day-to-day practices.

This series will include a review of the key elements of each prerequisite and credit in the rating system and will use presentation and project examples to aid in the understanding of concepts and retention of critical information. In addition to copies of the presentation materials, course handouts will contain supplemental study materials. Participants are encouraged to review the O+M Reference Guide and Study Guide prior to the course.

Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/6g9qvzv.
