Ashford Publishing announces The Reverend Pat Mallory, motivational speaker and author, will be having an on-air discussion on July 19 at 9AM EST with our host Rob Michaels. Ashford Publishing speaks with executives, professionals and leaders of industry in order to share their wealth of knowledge with others.
The Reverend Mallory has served the needs of her community in many facets. She was born in Kermit, Texas, and has lived in Tyler for over 50 years. Her professional work as the Minister of Ministries and Missions at First Baptist Church of Tyler brings her in contact with numerous community volunteer agencies, including the Salvation Army, Red Cross, East Texas Rescue Mission, East Texas Crisis Center, and Meals on Wheels, just to name a few. The Reverend Mallory’s personal work with Alzheimer’s patients was inspired by her late husband, Tom Mallory, who was a victim of the disease.
The Reverend Mallory has written and published six books titled, "Not On My Porch", "Whoa Man, See What God Did with a Rib", "A Godly Man? Who Can Find One?", "I Hear My Father Calling, So What's a Girl to Do?", "One of Us Has Alzheimer's", and "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall...But, God!" She is an active motivational speaker throughout Texas and beyond.
The Reverend Mallory is a member of the Board Emeritus of the Bethesda Health Clinic and serves on the Andrews Angel Board of Directors where she helps serve the needs of the mentally disabled in her community. Of these services she states, “I believe that we are our ‘brother’s keeper,’ and as such, we are to provide help for those in need: food for those who are hungry, support for those who are hurting, acceptance for those who feel unacceptable, prayer for those with spiritual needs, shelter for those with no place to go, and love for those who feel unloved.”
She states, “I believe we are on this earth to be God’s hands and feet, and I find no greater joy than the joy of serving others. Tyler is a wonderful community because of the people who truly care about others. I’ve found that when there is a need, this community will step up to meet that need.”
