Being partners with a nationally recognized company like Dick’s who really gets film production and the benefits of television advertising has been great for us.
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 21, 2011
Producers, a Maryland-based film, video, audio and motion graphics company recently completed production on a new television commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods. The commercial highlights the mindset of runners and why they put in all the miles they do. The spot features U.S. Olympian, Shannon Rowbury, who ran the 1500m event in Beijing in 2008. Dick’s is the largest, U.S.-based, full-line sporting goods retailer and has been a client of Producers since 2006.
The commercial shoot took place over the course of three days in Austin, TX. Producers’ Director, Rip Lambert, and Executive Producer, Ross Jones, traveled from their home office in Baltimore across country all while coordinating a crew of 45 and more than 120 talent and extras. The TV ad was shot on 35mm film at 11 different locations around Austin including Mount Bonnell and the Pfluger/Lamar Bridge.
“This shoot was a real challenge, which we love,” reflected Lambert, who is also Producers’ president. “We recreated a marathon and a breast cancer awareness run, which as you can imagine took some planning. We also shot a rain scene near the University of Texas.”
Executive Producer Jones noted, “Being partners with a nationally recognized company like Dick’s who really gets film production and the benefits of television advertising has been great for us. And for them to get the personal attention of a Maryland-based company with New York and L.A. capabilities has been essential for them. So it’s a win-win.”
