Woodbridge, NJ (PRWEB) July 21, 2011
iPatientCare-Medical Communication Systems Inc. (MCS) announced today that several of its customers are in the final stages of obtaining ARRA HITECH Stimulus incentive dollars by demonstrating meaningful electronic health record (EHR) use through the company's iPatientCare EHR solution.
Gabriel Yuil, MD, of Yuil Medical Center in Massachusetts, is iPatientCare’s first customer to demonstrate successful compliance to the ARRA Meaningful Use (MU) criteria in an attestation process governed by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Several other iPatientCare EHR users have successfully completed attestation or are far into the process with CMS.
As more and more iPatientCare users are rapidly adopting meaningful use, iPatientCare is facilitating their readiness for the attestation process. The company is doing this by dedicating its MU Taskforce to walk users through the steps necessary to calibrate existing datasets, if required, and track and report on 90 consecutive days of ‘Quality of Care’ indicators. The users also have been greatly benefiting from the iPatientCare MU Dashboard, a multi-layered interactive reporting and alerting tool that enables users to track and meet their target MU goals. MU Dashboard seamlessly extends to monitoring performance for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) and other requirements.
"iPatientCare is committed to transforming healthcare delivery clinically and financially, and helping our users expeditiously adopt Meaningful Use is a step in that direction," remarked Udayan Mandavia, President and CEO of iPatientCare. “iPatientCare has been named as a preferred MU partner vendor by several states’ Regional Extension Centers (REC), so new users are coming onboard just as rapidly."
