Limestone Networks, the Dallas-based, on-demand dedicated server provider, has entered into a partnership with Ksplice, Inc., a Massachusetts-based enterprise software company that has developed technology that makes reboots a thing of the past.
The Ksplice Uptrack software makes Linux systems more secure, reliable, and maintainable by offering seamless kernel upgrades. The need for a system reboot is eliminated, reducing downtime and ensuring up-to-date security. Further, Ksplice has been integrated with Limestone Network’s client control portal to make implementation and management extremely simple for the client.
Limestone Networks now offers this service as an add-on to their dedicated server packages. Kris Anderson, Director of Support for Limestone Networks states that, “Ksplice not only ensures proper security updates, but increases uptime and hard drive longevity by providing less wear-and-tear on server hardware. We are pleased to be offering Ksplice Uptrack as a value-added service to our clients.”
This new software addition compliments the company’s recent upgrade to their shared NAS solution. Limestone Networks has taken steps to ensure their client’s safety and uptime by offering all the tools necessary to maintain proper backups and ensure server uptime.
