General Motors recently announced that it would be investing $328 million in its Flint, Michigan plant. The plant currently manufactures full-size pickup trucks, and with the investment, will be undertaking the task of manufacturing all General Motors trucks. General Mills is committed to creating jobs. It has a plan to invest $2 billion in its efforts to create or retain 4,000 jobs across 17 facilities. The Flint, Michigan plant will be using the investment to build the next generation of Chevrolet and GMC full size pickup trucks. This will increase its employees from 2,047 to over 2,200.

Sales have been climbing steadily for Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks.
