MultiPlan's Holiday Card program benefits pediatric units and patients at participating hospitals.

MultiPlan, Inc., the nation’s oldest and largest independent PPO network, announced today it is now accepting submissions for its annual Holiday Card Program. One of MultiPlan’s most popular philanthropic initiatives, the Holiday Card Program collects holiday-inspired drawings from pediatric patients in hospitals participating in any of MultiPlan’s PPO networks and hosts a vote on its website. (MultiPlan’s networks include: PHCS, MultiPlan, Beech Street, HealthEOS and Texas True Choice, as well as Arizona Medical Network (AMN), Rural Arizona Network (RAN), and Health Management Network, Inc. (HMN) which were added to the program when MultiPlan acquired HMA, Inc. earlier this year.) The five entries that receive the most votes are made into holiday greeting cards, courtesy of MultiPlan. The hospitals that submit drawings receive boxed sets of the cards for use in fundraising and to sell in their gift shops.

“We’re glad that through this program we’re able to help spread a little cheer during a child’s visit to the hospital” says Dr. Anthony Sposato, Chief Medical Officer for MultiPlan. “And the proceeds from the sale of the cards help support the hospital’s pediatric programs, so they continue to work beyond the holiday season.” Sposato added, “We’re all looking forward to seeing the drawings submitted by this year’s young artists!”

To be eligible for this contest, entries must be received by September 16, 2011. Voting will take place on MultiPlan’s web site at September 26 - October 7 and winners will be announced the week of October 17.

In addition to the Holiday Card Program, MultiPlan provides participating hospitals with Jeep PowerWheels toy cars through its Toy Car Program, and issues grants to qualifying hospitals through its Rural Health Outreach Grant Program.
