Art & Cuisine Adventures is excited to announce an all inclusive learning vacation destination in La Jolla, California. Headquarters for this week long education tour will be the exquisite La Valencia Hotel historically known as the Pink Lady! La Valencia Hotel is where the famed Michelin 2 star chef Jason McLeod will prepare many of the dinners. This adventure features luxurious pampering while learning at a workshop in either photography, painting or culinary. Each workshop will be taught by professionals in their fields.
“We are working with some of the best professionals in the La Jolla area to teach techniques that can be used over and over again,” states Andi Durbin, Treasurer of Art & Cuisine Adventures. “I am especially excited about LaJollaCooks4U.”
Art & Cuisine Adventures has teamed up with Jodi Abel of LaJollaCooks4U to teach culinary students about California cuisine and local fare at the classroom in her home overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
“We are excited to be working with Michael Jacques and his technique of painting upside down,” said George Page, President of Art & Cuisine Adventures. “I know our painting students will learn so much from his mastered techniques!”
Art & Cuisine Adventures will also have Nancy Strong, the resident photographer, teaching her students the ins and outs of the camera, seeing the photograph before taking the picture, framing, and editing techniques used to transcend those photographs into something enjoyed for years to come.
“Everything is included in the cost: lodging, breakfast, lunch, cocktail hour, dinner with wine, planned excursions, workshops, and travel arrangements if needed,” says George Page. “We want our guests to be completely pampered while learning new skills.”
This all inclusive learning vacation is scheduled for September 11, 2011 through September 17, 2011. There are several excursions planned for the week to help our adventurers learn about the area they will be visiting, including a trip to Balboa Park and the Gas Lamp District and celebrating on the yacht Renown.
Art & Cuisine Adventures, Inc. is the brainchild of George Page, Nancy Strong and Andi Durbin who want to share their love of learning, adventure and the arts with others. Their goal is to make this experience so memorable that their guests will return again and again.
