[the blog is] a great way of sharing with the online community who may not be familiar with the language service industry, and so can provide valuable insights into how things work.
London, UK (PRWEB) July 22, 2011
In June this year the translation service provider Rosetta Translation launched its company blog. The blog is updated twice weekly with blogs featuring debates, opinions and stories from staff members. Past blog posts have covered the utility of phrase books, studying abroad, advice to budding translators and the recent government census.
Rosetta, a translation agency with main offices in London and Shanghai, and international presence in France, the USA and Luxembourg has a truly international staff and so is well placed to provide blogs of an interesting, educational and often comical nature. The blog aims to give a personal, opinion based window into the company and a little light relief from the stresses and strains of hard work.
Helen Fream, project manager for Rosetta and company blogger has said “I really enjoy writing for the Rosetta blog. It’s a chance to express your opinion on any language related subject which may have come up in the news, or perhaps has been niggling away at you for a while. It’s a great way of sharing with the online community who may not be familiar with the language service industry, and so can provide valuable insights into how things work. It is also a useful place for newcomers to the profession to read advice, and maybe pick up tips from seasoned professionals.”
The blog relies on submissions from staff members, everyone is welcome to submit a blog on any language or industry related subject. Once posted blogs are available to view from the website, newest blogs will appear on the homepage news feed, but all past blogs are available to view on the Rosetta Blog page. Visitors to the site are also encouraged to comment on blogs, and to join in the debate!
Helen also added: “We hope that the blog will continue to run and that we will gain followers who will keep checking back for new posts. It is a valuable opportunity for us to present a more intimate side to the company to our clients and freelancers alike, which we hope will make us more approachable in terms of forging long-term working relationships.”
