SUNY Levin Institute Continues FastTrac GrowthVenture Program To Help New York Small Business Owners Achieve Growth Targets

“FastTrac GrowthVenture participants get an executable plan to growth their business and a strong support network of fellow entrepreneurs to share resources, ideas and insights,” said Helene Rude, Director of Educational Programs, SUNY Levin Institute.

Continuing its effort to help New York small businesses prosper and grow, The SUNY Levin Institute – a 21st century model for learning, research and public engagement that addresses key aspects of globalization – and the Department of Small Business Services (SBS) will continue its FastTrac® GrowthVenture℠ program in September. FastTrac® GrowthVenture℠ is an intensive bootcamp that teaches businesses owners the skills to achieve operational excellence and accelerate business growth.

The next FastTrac® GrowthVenture℠ session will take place from September 1-27, 2011. The program is provided at no cost to qualified applicants. New York entrepreneurs can submit their applications until August, 12, 2011.

To date, the FastTrac GrowthVenture program has provided more than 1,500 New York based entrepreneurs with the tools and support to enhance and expand their business.

“99 percent of past alumni said that they would recommend the FastTrac GrowthVenture program to other business owners,” said Helene Rude, director of Educational Programs at SUNY Levin Institute. “FastTrac GrowthVenture participants not only leave the course with an executable plan to growth their business, they also obtain a strong support network of fellow entrepreneurs to share resources, ideas and insights.”

During the course, business owners create and present an actionable plan for strategic growth. SUNY Levin Institute’s program faculty, composed of successful entrepreneurs and experienced coaches, provides one-on-one assistance and expertise to explore and evaluate new business growth initiatives, such as the introduction of new products and services.

To be eligible to attend the FastTrac GrowthVenture program, businesses need have been in operation for a minimum of one year, achieved sales targets and demonstrated market potential. Participants also need to make a commitment to attend all eight sessions - 32 classroom hours in the evening over the course of four weeks - and complete all course assignments.
