Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global IT systems integrator, announced today the appointment of leading Intel Community expert Michael J. Walsh to Senior Director of Virginia Intelligence programs. In this role, Walsh will spearhead the growth of ID’s Virginia Intel programs practice. His role will cover managing all facets of the practice to include mission definition, key personnel staffing, program and budget oversight, and development and oversight of strategic initiatives within the Virginia intelligence community. Walsh is a proven leader that brings wide-ranging business, technical and management savvy to the position, as well as extensive and invaluable expertise, knowledge and top-tier industry contacts. ID defines Virginia Intel as those intelligence agencies outside of the National Security Agency.
Previously, Walsh has supported and led a variety of similar key efforts for TASC, Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of advanced systems engineering, integration and decision-support services. He gained more than 16 years of experience at TASC in geospatial systems, systems engineering, and U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence community programs support. Walsh’s skills include program management, line management, business operations, business development, proposal development, systems engineering and systems integration.

He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees – one in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University and another in Business Administration and Management from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he holds a Master of Engineering degree in System Engineering from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
Walsh is married with three boys and lives in Leesburg, VA.
