Picturesque Pools Are All The Rage With Buyers

Waterscapes Pools & Spas has sold 97 pools in the first half of 2011, putting the company 17 percent ahead of projections. Waterscapes is building pools for new home buyers, existing homeowners, and communities. Higher pool sales are a sign of increased consumer confidence, as home buyers feel assured that values will increase and believe homes are a strong investment. Waterscapes is a division of Neal Communities that began a little less than two years ago. In that time, the company has sold 226 pools.

“We started a pool company because we wanted to give our buyers the best pools available with the Neal Communities level of customer service,” explains Michael Storey, president of Neal Communities’ building division. “We took something that was often a difficult customer satisfaction experience and turned it into something positive.”

Waterscapes is building pools for Neal Communities’ and Neal Signature Homes’ buyers, as well as Cardel Homes’ and Bruce Williams Homes’ buyers in Central Park. The neighborhoods of Belleisle (in Country Club East) and Claremont Park (in Central Park) each already have a Waterscapes pool in their recreation centers. The company also builds pools in existing homes or for other homebuilders.

Home buyers appreciate the ease, efficiency, and professionalism provided through Neal Communities’ Waterscapes division. Buyers know that Neal Communities has created a culture of excellence in a variety of disciplines, all drawing from a core of 41 years of superior customer service.

The most popular designs today are free-form and have a natural look. Homeowners want an outdoor living space that blends with their home, and the pool deck is an extension of the covered lanai.

“We try to design the pool with a view from inside the home. Many are oriented to the most used spaces in the home—the kitchen and the family room,” explains John Collier, vice president of Waterscapes Pools & Spas. “When you close on your home, you’re ready to swim. It’s a seamless process.”

As “green” features become more in demand, home buyers are incorporating them into their pools as well as their homes. “We are using many salt chlorine generators and selling many energy-efficient variable speed pumps that save electricity,” states Collier.

Neal Communities is ranked #1 locally by MetroStudy and by Hanley Wood Market Intelligence based on number of home sales, and ranked #94 nationally among home builders by BUILDER Magazine. As the area’s largest and most established locally owned and operated private builder, Neal Communities is continually striving for excellence in every aspect of the home building and development business. Neal Signature Homes, John Neal Homes, Charlene Neal PureStyle, Waterscapes Pools & Spas, and First Continental Mortgage all contribute to the firm’s continued, record-setting local success. With over 8,000 homes built in Southwest Florida, Neal Communities’ honors and accolades include 37 Parade of Homes 2011 Awards, 44 Aurora Awards, five Best in American Living Awards and hundreds of local and regional industry awards.
