SceneTap App Begins Nationwide Rollout with Chicago Launch

SceneTap, a startup that applies the best aspects of the most popular social networking sites to local barhopping, today announced the launch of its app in Chicago, the first of many cities on the road to a nationwide rollout.

Fifty spotlights will mark the location of 50 SceneTap bars around the city, where users will have access to the app’s real-time data and exclusive deals. The launch party kicks off at Joe’s Bar on Weed St. at 8:30 p.m.

On hand to celebrate the launch will be members of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl team – Dan Hampton, Steve McMichael, Keith Van Horne and Otis Wilson – as well as current Bear Charles Tillman and Blackhawks Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews.
