Fastrack Healthcare Systems, Inc. has combined the features and benefits of two of its’ modules creating an Internet based Referral Management System. The new Referral Management System (RMS) offers an easy method for referral sources including physicians to enter a referral via the Internet reducing the workload of the office staff.

According to Fastrack President/CEO Spencer Kay, “RMS is an important marketing tool for providers as it allows them to offer an automated solution to referral sources and physicians that eliminates paperwork on their end and the need to fax documents. The feedback we have received is that RMS will be a major incentive for referral sources to want to work with the provider as it is a time saving tool that offers significant benefits.”

The Referral Management System (RMS) accepts new referrals and patients from the Fastrack e-Commerce Storefront, the Internet, through a Web Portal or entry from internal staff. RMS can handle virtually every aspect of entering, changing or canceling an order including the scheduling of recurring supply orders.

The front end of RMS is a Web Portal that offers a customizable front end for users to access via the Internet. physicians, referral sources, clinicians, sales representatives, and others can enter new referrals, patient orders, review reports and more depending on permissions setup by the providers as the system features extensive password security that can be specific to a particular user or role.

One of the many features of RMS is to electronically send CMNs to the physician for completion and signature. An exact image of a CMN appears on the screen for the Physician to complete. Upon the provider’s acceptance of the CMN that is sent back from the physician, the appropriate information populates the Fastrack System.

The RMS module within the Web Portal is fully customizable by the user to follow the provider’s preferred intake format. Fields can be rearranged, the label/name of the field can be changed or fields suppressed if not used. The provider also has access to custom fields to capture virtually any information, plus fields can be made required. In addition, RMS has a built-in On-Line eligibility verification. Upon completion of this step the patient can be made active or inactive.

The Fastrack Task Manager has been integrated into RMS along with email capability, providing intake with the ability to notify multiple staff members at a branch or division of the company that they have a new patient.

The Referral Management System is designed to work with the Fastrack HME, Infusion Pharmacy and HomeCare Agency software and technology solutions.
