Lees Summit, MO (PRWEB) July 24, 2011
When it comes to charity and philanthropy, the sales team at Blue Ridge Mazda - the premiere Mazda dealer in Lees Summit, Missouri - know that they work for a company that goes all out to help other people whenever they can.
Mazda North American Operations recently announced that Sylvain Tremblay, SpeedSource Inc. team owner and driver of the #70 Castrol Edge Mazda RX-8, presented a check for six thousand dollars to the American Red Cross. The money is meant to help with the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Relief Fund.
"The American Red Cross is very grateful to Sylvain Tremblay and the entire SpeedSource team for their generosity and willingness to help the people of Japan," said Gloria Danovitz, chief development officer, American Red Cross, South Florida Region. Every donation helps the Red Cross help people all over the world.
"It is only through contributions such as this, that the Red Cross can always be ready to respond in a time of disaster and ensure that help and hope will be available for our neighbors in need."
The donation money comes from SpeedSource's 3rd place finish at the April 9th Grand-Am race at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Previous to this race, Tremblay announced that he would be donating all his prize money from that race to the American Red Cross. This sort of philanthropy is common among Mazda as a company as well as all of the people who work for them.
SpeedSource is located in the city of Sunrise in South Florida between Palm Beach International Raceway and the Miami-Homestead Speedway; just hours from both Daytona and Sebring. They have the ability to produce custom parts on demand as well as help the Mazda race team with other issues that might come up. They are a very valuable part of the Mazda racing team.
Any local residents who are interested in taking a new Mazda for a test drive should stop in at Blue Ridge Mazda. As the premiere Lee's Summit, Missouri Mazda dealer, they have a great selection of vehicles as well as customer service that is tough to beat. They have a long history of helping consumers all over Missouri.
